Just when we thought Apple was almost entirely done with iOS 9 updates (to focus development efforts on the forthcoming iOS 10 release), the company issued the first beta iteration of iOS 9.3.3 to registered developers this morning. Will iOS 9.3.3 delay the release of the next untethered jailbreak? It’s certainly a possibility, considering we were expecting a jailbreak for iOS 9.3.2 to be issued shortly following last week’s public release of the second minor iOS 9.3.x update.
Today a Weibo forum poster listed images of what’s allegedly the next-generation iPhone for release in 2016, not the recently discussed 2017 iPhone, presumably dubbed the iPhone 7. What’s interesting is that the primary leaked image in question highlights a protruding camera lens, something Apple was rumored to axe in the iPhone 7. Additionally, you’ll also notice reduced antenna bands (watch the above video for details) and a secondary cutout between the camera and flash modules, which one forum poster suggests could be indicative of some form of laser auto focus!
Today Apple released iOS 9.3.2 to the general public, as I predicted they would yesterday. Being the second minor iOS 9.3.x update, 9.3.2 doesn’t offer much in the way of features (save correcting minor bugs). But what about jailbreaking, will we finally receive an iOS 9.3.2 jailbreak from either the Pangu or TaiG jailbreak teams?
iOS 9.3.2 Beta 4 Jailbreak iOS 9.3.1 UPDATE, Where is It!? Explained! iOS 9.3.2 Features and Jailbreak 9.3.x Debated. Apple seeded iOS 9.3.2 beta 4 to registered developer last week; check out the latest jailbreak update for iOS 9.3.x.
Forget about the 2016 iPhone 7, the next iPhone in 2017 (the iPhone 8) will be the one you’ll actually want! According to Daring Fireball’s John Gruber, he’s heard “scuttlebutt” that the 2017 iPhone 8 will sport an edge-to-edge (maybe OLED) display the completely removes the top and bottom bezels and inlays the FaceTime camera, Touch ID and other components into the display itself!
