iOS 9.3.3 Jailbreak UPDATE! Apple Releases iOS 9.3.3

Today, ensuing five beta seeds, Apple released iOS 9.3.3 to the general public. With iOS 9.3.3 being the firmware we expect jailbreakers to ultimately target, today is an exciting day to say the least!

iOS 9.3.3 As An Update

iOS 9.3.3 Jailbreak

Unfortunately, unlike past iOS releases (particularly iOS 9.3), today’s 9.3.3 firmware offers absolutely no outward-facing changes the end user would notice. Instead, which should be viewed as a positive, iOS 9.3.3 is focused on stability improvements and correcting bugs that, again, don’t really impact the end user.

Jailbreak Updates

Jailbreak iOS 9.3.x

As far as jailbreaking is concerned, iOS 9.3.3 is really the best opportunity jailbreak developers will get. Apple is now transitioning development resources to iOS 10, hence the reasoning behind five betas for a firmware with 0 noticeable changes. In other words, it would take Apple longer to patch a jailbreak now and the lifespan of a utility would be better if released for iOS 9.3.3 than any of its predecessors.

The only curious thing to note is that neither TaiG nor Pangu released a jailbreak for iOS 9.3.2, which contains a very powerful webkit bug that can be exploited to achieve a JailbreakMe-like jailbreak solution (deployable via Safari). The logic behind this is that jailbreak developers could already have been working on a tool when the exploit was published and they didn’t want to redo their work simply to rush a tool for a firmware, which would be patched immediately by iOS 9.3.3’s release.

And so the wait for a new jailbreak iOS 9.3.3 solution begins.
